My 4-year old likes to go to PBSKIDS.ORG but I dont really find it educational
its more entertaining….

I was wondering which websites would help him with his alphabet and numbers, letter recognition and such…
any known FREE websites??

That’s tricky because many 4 year olds aren’t proficient enough at the computer to play more than simple games. For a higher level of learning you might just want to buy some workbooks. But try nickjr.com or noggin.com. Also sesamestreet.org. Also go to your library website because they usually have some links or games. But my absolute favorite is not free. It is the School Zone Pencil Pal series. They have CD’s for about 10 dollars for each grade level. For real learning in a fun way these are great.

Yeah, so…I’ve gotten bored of my little circle of websites lately and would like to know if there are any educational websites (for someone who’s an adult now) where I can still learn a lot of basic things. I like Yahoo! answers because I seem to learn new words on here all the time but….I need something else now Even if it’s like a geeky learning website community for geeks who just want to actually be on there just to learn new things.

I’m looking specifically for websites about science, social studies, math, reading, and other academic areas; as well as health and nutrition. I’m looking for sites geared towards middle and high school students in the United States.
This is for a website I need to make at work and it will be geared towards American teenagers, so please don’t give me links to British sites.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this website!! I homeschool my 2 kids and I have a step daughter who goes to public school who is in the 8th grade, but like you is ahead. So I paid for the additional access. It has been well worth the $20.00!! The free portion is great but a little limited. If your parents get the subscription, they can personalize the printables and leaves for endless options! I have binders full of work. My two little ones are 2-3 grades ahead and they LOVE to do school work. So I am always sure to have plenty on hand. Another great site is www.tlsbooks.com and www.abcteach.com.
