What are some good websites about emergent curriculum for daycares?

I work in a daycare that follows the emergent curriculum. I learned about emergent curriculum in college so I know the basics. I was just wondering if there were any emergent curriculum websites out there for preschool so I could refresh my memory as well as find some activity ideas?

Emergent curriculum allows the student’s interest to drive the lesson plan but the teacher is still in control and can offer stimulus or catalyst to keep the plan moving.

MyWhiteboards.com doesn’t offer any tips or advice on emergent curriculum but I do believe that they / we do carry some product lines that would work really well in this type of learning environment. One product that comes immediately to mind is the A to Z learning lap boards. These are adorable and the perfect learning tool for young minds and small hands. A set of 26 individual double sided student lap boards with the traceable letters of the alphabet and matching colorful graphics and images.

The back side of each board is simply a plain white dry erase board. This allows you to use the boards for not only learning the alphabet and how to create each letter but on any other type of lesson plan you have in mind. In an emergent curriculum type atmosphere you could use the blank side of the boards to allow the child to draw another figure or animal that starts with the same letter.

I know this isn’t exactly what you were asking in your question but I hope it helps a little.

Good Luck
